Benefits

Eligible Mounds View Public School employees receive a generous benefits package. The level of benefits differ per the collective bargaining agreements or District policy. In order to be eligible, an employee's assignment must be at least half-time, either 20 or more hours per week or 0.50 FTE. Benefits costs are pro-rated for part-time employees.

If you have already applied with Teachers On Call in a neighboring district, you need not reapply. Simply contact Teachers On Call to advise that you would like access to substitute opportunities in Mounds View Public Schools as well!

To qualify for a Substitute Teacher position, you must have a valid Minnesota teaching license in any content area OR a valid Minnesota short call substitute license. You must hold a minimum of a BA/BS college degree to obtain a Minnesota short call sub license.

The Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB) is responsible for issuing all teaching licenses. Click the link below to apply for a teaching license online, or contact the PELSB office at 651-539-4200 to apply over the phone or with any questions.
