The District Management Council has been working with Mounds View Public Schools to examine how reading is being taught in Mounds View Public Schools. The primary objective of the project is to improve elementary reading practices through a custom tailored plan built off current initiatives. Cost-neutral or cost-beneficial recommendations aim to ensure all students are receiving the most effective and cost-effective support possible. Angie Peschel, director of curriculum and instruction, and Shannon Roney, elementary literacy support, presented the District Management Council's report and offered next steps related to the opportunities presented in the plan.
