Content Area Curriculum Maps

Curriculum maps provide information about the key components of a course. Mounds View Public Schools is currently in the process of creating digital curriculum maps for each course using the TIES Eclipse Curriculum Management tool. This continuous collaborative process allows for examination of content, skills, alignment and placement of standards in each course. Courses will continue to be made available throughout the 2011-2012 school year. Please check back for further updates.

Defining the Curriculum Map
Essential Questions - the overarching big-picture ideas about the purpose of the unit within the course. The information in the unit is studied for the purpose answering the essential questions.
Content - this is the knowledge students need in order to answer the essential questions and perform the skills to show mastery of the standard.
Skills- these are the skills the students will gain and develop in order to show their understanding of the content as they answer the essential questions and show mastery of the skill.
Resources listed are used District-wide.
