Serving Students With Special Needs In Mounds View Schools

Mission
The mission of Mounds View Schools, special education and general education teachers and administrators, in partnership with students, parents, and the community, is to deliver an array of services to equip all learners with the measurable skills for lifelong education to reach their individual potential with responsibility to self and society. 

Belief Statements

1. We believe all students can learn, have the right to learn, and share the responsibility for that learning.
2. We believe that people have different learning styles, and that curriculum and instruction must address these differences.
3. We believe appropriate citizenship and communication skills are essential through partnership with school, students, parents, and the community.
4. We believe good programming is the result of having a full continuum of services. Decisions should be based on the needs of the individual student through evaluation and team planning.
