This year, Edgewood & Sunnyside will work together to raise money to complete a water project for Miyani School in Kenya.  The project will bring clean water and sanitation directly to the school.

Our goal is to raise $6120.

We have raised about $2500 so far through donations from the Bucket Walk and T-Shirt sales.

Some of our other fundraising events include:

Halloween dress-up (October 31-donate $1 to H2O and wear your costume at school)

Hat Day (December 19th- donate $1 to H2O and wear a crazy hat at school)

Angel Sales (student-made angels sell for $5)

T-Shirt Sales (T-shirts are $10 and are worn every Thursday for ÒH2O DayÓ)

October 8, 2008 -- Edgewood Middle School students rallied friends and family members to take part in a "Bucket Walk" to raise money for H2O for Life, an organization that brings clean water to schools around the globe. Edgewood student Hallal Tamene, her father Tamene Melkami and her aunt Maratu Gunja (pictured) participated in the event which raised about $1,500 for clean water at Miyani School in Kenya. Sunnyside Elementary School students, Highview Middle School students and Irondale High School students also participated in the October 5 event at Highview Middle School.
