Learning Lab - Free Tutoring
Any Irondale student can get free study help from 7:20 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Learning Lab, room 22 (by the weight room, in the basement). Staffed by Wendy Lucas and peer tutors, the Learning Lab offers help with:
- Language Arts
- Math
- Science
- Social studies
Mrs. Lucas has a degree in mathematics and training in the Integrated math curriculum, as well as, experience as a technical writer. The peer tutors are seniors that are very successful in school and enjoy helping others with their work.
Learning Lab services include help with:
- Daily assignments
- Projects
- Papers
- Study skills
- Preparations for the Minnesota Basic Standards reading and math tests
Open every school day; students are always welcome. They can:
- Get a pass from their teacher during class study time.
- Bring a bag lunch and study during their lunch time.
- Drop in before or after school.
Study materials are available to help students pass the Minnesota Basic Standards math and reading tests. You can also find practice tests at the following sites:
