ATTENTION ALL 3RD GRADE PARENTS!

Your students will begin the study of the recorder in the very near future!
Order forms will be coming home soon, and students need their own for at-home practice.
This unit of study in music specialist helps prepare students for beginning orchestra instruction in 4th grade and band in 5th grade.
Recorders belonging to older siblings are fine.
Financial assistance is available.

Students will earn Recorder Karate belts when they pass proficiency levels. The first belt is the White Belt, and everyone will earn this during their music class. Students are encouraged to come in before school to test for advancing belts IF THEY HAVE PRACTICED and can play the song for you at home. The days for before-school testing will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 8:30 and 8:45 ONLY. Students who attend Y Care may also test immediately after school AFTER they have checked into Y Care, until 3:45.
