Mustang Club Raffle

Thanks to all who helped support the Mustang Club's first Raffle. In total, $12, 495.00 was raised in this Raffle due to support by parents, students, teachers, community, and various businesses.

On July 31st, 2004, the Mustang Club launched this Raffle in conjunction with the 50th Year Jubilee Anniversary of those graduating from Mounds View High School and ended on October 1st, 2004.

This Raffle was successful due to the donation by Arthur's Jewelers of the top three prizes for the Raffle including a woman's diamond ring, man's/woman's watch, and a woman's bracelet. In addition there were thirteen additional prizes donated by local businesses such as dinners, coupons, gift certificates, etc. The businesses supporting this Raffle included Beisswenger's, Best Western White Bear Lake, Caribou Coffee - Arden Hills, Engebretsen & Associates, LLC, Lexington Floral, Love From Minnesota, Movie Gallery - Shoreview, Paninos Restaurant, Rudy's Red Eye Restaurant, Subway - Arden Hills, Tria Restaurant, and Von Hanson's Meats. The sales effort was coordinated by the Mustang Club as well as support from Booster Clubs at Mounds View High School. The Booster Clubs participating in the Raffle included Band, Girls Basketball, Orchestra, Peers Acting to Challenge Tobacco (PACT), and Viewettes.

Of the $12,495.00 raised during this Raffle, $9,115.00 will go to the Mustang Club and $3,380.00 will be split among the above Booster Clubs. All of the above prizes were drawn at Half-time on October 1st at Mounds View High School's Homecoming. The funds raised by the Mustang Club during this Raffle will be used to fund projects submitted by teachers at Mounds View High School from the areas of Academics, Athletics, or Fine Arts. These projects are funded based on teacher requests for such items as books, equipment, supplies, or special projects that benefit as many students as possible and enhance the educational process of the students.

Again, thanks to the many people who supported this Raffle this year. The Raffle was co-chaired this year by Ron and Sherry Engebretsen.
