Hundreds of students are preparing for commencement ceremonies throughout the District with graduation ceremonies starting later this month. Commencement ceremonies in chronological order:
*CLT Shoreview - May 24, 6 p.m., Shoreview Community Center
*CLT Har Mar - May 29, 6:30 p.m., New Brighton Family Service Center
*Oak Grove - May 31, 12:30 p.m., Oak Grove
*Area Learning Center - May 31, 7 p.m., Bethel
*Mounds View High School - June 4, 7 p.m., Roy Wilkins Auditorium
*Irondale High School - June 5, 7 p.m., Irondale
*Adult Basic Education - June 7, 7 p.m., New Brighton Family Service Center

With the launch of elementary and middle school Facebook pages last week, each school in the District now has a social media presence that is well "LIKED" among District parents and alumni. Overall, the District and its schools have more than 9,000 "LIKES" on Facebook. Find links and participation guidelines for all the official school and District pages here.
SchoolView
Hundreds of District parents are using SchoolView to follow their student's progress, view their student's Personal Learning Plan and send feedback to their student's dean. This month, parents will notice the portal has a new look -- and a new direct link to access student information. Parents can access SchoolView via the Quick Links tab on the top of the page at www.moundsviewschools.org or they can click here to access student information via the portal.
Currently, parents of elementary school students can view attendance records, test history, schedules, report cards and personal information. Parents of middle and high school students can view attendance records, test history, schedules, grades, assignments and personal information. Personal Learning Plans can be accessed on SchoolView and parents can make payments for meals, transportation and activity fees. High school transcripts are also available on SchoolView. Soon, parents will have access to more tools for managing student information and schedules in SchoolView with a new calendar feature launching in SchoolView for the 2012-2013 school year. Attention District Parents
Help us support safety and health in our schools and community by taking a few short minutes to participate in a survey. Mounds View Public Schools received a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to help promote a positive and healthy environment in our schools. The Safe Schools/Healthy Students grant is shared with other area school districts through the Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative. Help us evaluate the impact this grant has had on our District by participating in this brief survey between now and June 1.
