Bridges is the multi-district elementary setting for special education EBD program hosted by the Mounds View School District. Our students attend school from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Our mission is to provide an education that focuses on academic, social, emotional, and behavioral skills tailored to meet each individual student’s needs using an array of instructional strategies addressing all curriculum areas, including social skills and providing generalization to community environments. We provide a safe, nurturing environment for our students by using a variety of positive interventions and strategies based on best practices and individual needs of each student. We collaborate with Roseville, Centennial, Spring Lake Park, and St. Anthony. We often take students from other districts based on availability. We serve students ECSE to 5th grade. We have two multi-aged classrooms, with three paraprofessionals and one teacher in each room. We have one classroom that we serve 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and the other classroom serves students from ECSE to 5th grade depending on the individual needs of a student. We provide speech and occupational therapy to students who meet the qualifications for those services, and have an adaptive physical education teacher provide physical education 60 minutes a week to our students.
