Pinewood Elementary is located in Mounds View, Minnesota, a suburb of
St. Paul. Our school serves approximately 550 students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth grade. 

    Pinewood gives students a warm, caring atmosphere for them to learn and grow. Our school offers each student a high quality education with opportunities in many academic areas. Pinewood provides students with a variety of innovative programs and teaching methods to best meet each child's need.

To continue to strive for high academic performance, our school has created and adopted a set of Power Standards for each grade level. These Power Standards are a specific set of skills we have identified that each child needs in order to be successful in school. 

Students also receive specialized instruction in areas of science, art, physical education, music and technology/media. Additional opportunities offered to students include: band/orchestra, Junior Great Books, and a variety of before and after school programming.
