Student learning is a community affair at Island Lake. Through an extensive volunteer program, students study and learn side-by-side with community members and parents. The results are evident with student test scores on the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments in the top five percent in the metropolitan area, matching the historical tradition of excellence at the school. School days at Island Lake are enriched by an active and supportive Parent-Teacher Association. Island Lake serves students from Shoreview and Arden Hills.
