Mounds View senior to recite poetry at the Fitzgerald Theater

March 14, 2012 -- Mounds View High School student Anastasia Brodsky will be performing her memorized poetry at the Fitzgerald Theater on March 19. She has been active in speech and theater throughout her high school career at Mounds View and has competed in the Poetry Out Loud poetry recitation competition hosted annually by Mounds View English teachers Shawn Burback and Mary Carney. At the Fitzgerald Theater, Brodsky will be reciting A Boat Beneath a Sunny Sky by Lewis Carroll and Romance by Claude McKay, two poems she recited for Poetry Out Loud. Added to her performance for State is the classic John Donne Death be Not Proud.
