Task Forces Convene
Throughout each school year, several community members and District employees collaborate on a variety of task forces and committees. The purpose of each group is to study many aspects of an issue and gather input from parents, staff, administrators and community members and make recommendations for District action.
World Languages Task Force
Background A new program would: * move students progressively toward language proficiency * cause no disruption to the elementary and middle school core curriculum * be cost neutral with no additional staffing expenses In addition, planning is underway to consider adding another language in the high schools. A task force of principals, teachers and parents has been studying issues related to world language implementation and will recommend options for the School Board’s consideration.
