Gopher Hockey Player Visits Turtle LakeMrs. Haugen & Mrs. Pallansch's 4th grade homeroom have been studying statistics by following the Gopher Men's Hockey Team. On October 29th, Gopher Hockey player, Justin Bostrom, joined them to go over the box scores from their previous game. The kids loved sharing their knowledge with a "real" Gopher player!

Artist-in-Residence, Sowah Mensah Visits Turtle LakeDuring the first week of October, Sowah Mensah, “Master Drummer” from Ghana and professor at Macalester College, met with all 950+ Turtle Lake students during music class to teach them about African drumming and culture in Ghana. |

Fifth Graders Visit Nature CenterDuring their fall trip to the Lee & Rose Warner Nature Center, 5th graders learned about deer ecology and wetlands. They look forward to returning in the winter and spring. |
Turtle Lake Receives Exxon Mobil Educational GrantTurtle Lake Elementary School was awarded a $500 ExxonMobil Educational Alliance grant to support math/science and guided reading materials.
