At Valentine Hills
Elementary students pursue learning in an environment of peace and
respect. A Peace Site school, the Valentine Hills community holds a
high level of expectation for student achievement, respect for others
and creative, peaceful conflict resolution. This philosophy is
supported by a committed network of parents and community volunteers,
guided by proactive staff members who maintain active communication
with students and families. Architecturally, the school building is
open and filled with light.
At Valentine Hills, and at all of the District's elementary schools,
students enjoy one-on-one and small-group learning opportunities with
teachers who know their students' needs. In creative ways, students are
encouraged to explore and develop their special interests and talents.
The elementary school program is based on a comprehensive set of
grade-level expectations for student achievement in grades K-5. The
program includes language arts, mathematics, science, social studies,
the arts, physical education, health and technology.
From Valentine Hills, students continue learning at Highview Middle
School in New Brighton and either Mounds View High School in Arden
Hills or Irondale High School in New Brighton. Valentine Hills enrolls
students who live in Arden Hills, New Brighton and Roseville.
