Registration

  • Mounds View district residents registration begins MARCH 1, 2021 at 9:00 A.M.  Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis.  Based on our registration system, your application will be time stamped and reviewed for approval.  Within 3 business days your contract will be reviewed and you will be notified of either placement or wait list.

    Children who are age eligible for kindergarten are not eligible to register on a first come, first serve basis.  Registration for kindergarten eligible children and non district residents begins on June 15th. Families that do not reside in Mounds View Public Schools may register at that time, if space is available.

    We will move to a lottery registration for the 2022-2023 school year.  Children enrolled in the program will have priority placement. 

    Registration Steps

    Only one registration per child is accepted.  If you are registering more than one child, you must register them separately. 

    Our class schedule follows the Mounds View Public School calendar with no classes on additional program professional days.  Our program year is September 13, 2021 - June 7, 2022. 

    All registrants will have the option to register for their 1st & 2nd class choices.  We will do our best to accommodate your choice request, based on the space availability.  If your class choices have been filled, you will be notified of your placement on the waiting list.  In the case where a class does not fill with the minimum number of children, you may be contacted and given an option to enroll in another class.

    1. Access the online registration system by clicking here.
    2. For first time users, click on “Click here to create a New Account,” in the middle of the page. 
    3. Click on the “Explore All Programs” tab in the upper right side of the page and select “Preschool & Prekindergarten.” Then select “Registration”  then over “Preschool/PreKindergarten,” then over the word “Registration.” 
    4. Choose the location and class number of your 1st choice class.  Fill out additional questions to select your second choice and other information related to registration.
    5. Determine your method of payment.
    6. Select complete registration.
    7. You will receive a confirmation email from our registration system.  This does not mean your registration has been accepted, it only means that we have received your application. If not received, please log into your account and complete your registration.
    8. You will receive a confirmation email from our registration system when your child’s contract is approved and your child is placed in class.  At that time, your account will be charged the registration fee of $75.00 for a half day or $100.00 for a full day class.
    9. After your registration fee is collected, you will receive additional enrollment forms from our program. 
    10. If the class has filled and you are placed on the waiting list, you will not be charged a registration fee.  You will be notified that you are on the waiting list and we will contact you if a class spot opens.

    Cancelled Classes

    Class/childcare fees will not be refunded for cancellations due to weather or staff professional days. There are no refunds for family vacation days or days missed due to family illness or extended leave of absence.

    Refunds

    If you would like to withdraw your child from class, you must give a 30 day written notice or you will be billed for the next month’s tuition.  Registration fees will not be refunded.

    Transportation

    Transportation may be available to half day PreKindergarten 4’s classes for a fee. Children attending Pike Lake Education Center or Early Childhood Education Center for preschool must reside in Bel Air, Pinewood, Sunnyside, or Valentine Hills Schools attendance area.  Children attending Snail Lake Education Center must reside in Island Lake or Turtle Lake Schools attendance area.  

    Transportation & Sibling Care Registration

    Transportation and sibling care registration will occur later this spring.

    Immunizations & Early Childhood Screening

    All children attending our preschool and prekindergarten program must have immunization records up to date by the beginning of school.  All PreKindergarten 4’s students must complete an Early Childhood Screening before the beginning of school.  Preschool 3’s families will be contacted during the school year to schedule a screening.
