Federal benefit helps you buy food

  • What is P-EBT?
Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) is a federal temporary emergency nutrition benefit available to families with children who are approved for Educational Benefits. This benefit offers families $8.10 for every day that their student is absent due to a COVID-19 related incident during the designated time period of the 2022-23 school year.

The P-EBT program for the 2022-23 school year:

Your child may be eligible for the 2022-2023 school year P-EBT benefit:

    • If your child is approved for Educational Benefits (free or reduced-price school meals). They may be eligible for P-EBT benefits for the days they were absent due to a COVID-19 impact
    • In the 2022-23 school year, eligible children who transferred to homeschooling or online learning because of COVID-19 and who meet other eligibility requirements may also be eligible for benefits.
