Firearms Safety - Forkhorn I
In Forkhorn I, students earn their Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Firearms Safety Certification. Students will experience extensive hands-on firearm handling and shooting opportunities as well as many safety aspects while becoming a responsible hunter. A highlight of the week is an all-day field trip to the Virginia Rifle and Pistol Club, where students will shoot up to 150 rounds of ammunition from firearms such as a .22, .223, .243, .270, .30-06 and a muzzleloading rifle, pistol and shotgun. Throughout the week students will also shoot clay pigeons with shotguns, take an archery class and be exposed to safe hunting practices.

**Students must be 11 years of age on the first day of camp to attend.
Cost: $425 per person includes instruction, lodging, home cooked meals and use of equipment. Parents may attend with their child at no additional cost.
