Chippewa Activities

  • Are you interested in joining an After-school Club?  We offer a variety of fun activities that accelerate, integrate ideas and themes learned within the classroom that will promote the talent within Chippewa Middle School and elevate the achievements of its students.  All clubs run from 2:30-3:35 pm after school unless noted otherwise.  

    ART MURAL CLUB 

    Learn how to work together through group projects that beautify our school. Art/Mural club gives students the opportunity to meet once a week in an informal setting to work on art. Students may work on projects we choose as a group or can work individually.

    MATH TEAM - MS. GLAD 

    The Math Team is a group of students who study or compete together in mathematics competitions.

    CHAMBER ORCHESTRA - MR. LARSON

    Auditions are open to all 7th and 8th grade students that are currently enrolled in the orchestra. We play more advanced music and meet twice a week.

    AFTER SCHOOL ACADEMIC SUPPORT 

    Need a little extra help studying for a test or getting a grasp on a new concept. Then, After School Academic Support is the place to be!  Click here to see where to meet and what dates it is available. 

    JAZZ BAND - MR. GRONERT 

    Auditions are open to all 7th and 8th grade students that are currently enrolled in the band. We play more advanced music and meet Tuesday & Thursdays mornings @ 6:45 am.

    SCIENCE OLYMPIAD - MS. WACHTER 

    Sci Oly is a team competition in which students compete in various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics and engineering. 

    YEARBOOK - MR. SEELEY 

    The Yearbook Club puts together our memories from the year in one conducive yearbook. The Yearbook Club will meet starting the second week in January.  

    THE HERD - MS. TIMMONS 

    Chippewa Middle Schools Student Council. Meets during the day at various times. Applications available late September

    MUSCIAL - MR. HOYHTYA 

    Chippewa Middle School presents a yearly Winter Musical during the month of February. Tryouts are typically late December. If you love to perform, then this is where you belong.

    POP CHOIR - MR. EGGERT 

    Participants will sing a variety of pop songs ranging from Modern Pop Music, Broadway Musicals, and Songs from the Great American SongBook. This is a more informal choir setting and may include basic choreography. Open to 7th and 8th grade students.  Meets Tuedays and Thursdays starting September 26th 6:50 - 7:30 AM. 

    MAKER AND CODING CLUB - MR. WEIGER AND MR. HIEB 

    Join us for open lab time after school at Chippewa. Participants learn 3D printing, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, Scratch, embroidery, Python and more. They can use this time to pursue individual projects that they are interested in completing.
