    No school for students – Staff Development Day for teachers

    VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 

    We are looking for parent volunteers to help with evaluating student's 7th Grade STEAM disease products on Wednesday, 
    March 16th. Volunteers will use a short grading tool to evaluate the products and provide feedback to the students. If you 
    are interested and available to help, please use this link to sign up! 

    HIGHVIEW SPRING MUSICAL 

    Join the Highview Middle School cast and crew as they present “The Music Man Jr. “ on Thursday and Friday, March 3rd
    and 4th at 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, March 5th at 2:00 PM. 
    Adult tickets will be $6.00; tickets for children/students will be $4.00. Tickets will be sold during lunches the week of the 
    performance and will also be available at the door. Pre-sale tickets are now on sale for members of the cast and crew. 
    Parents of cast and crew members-- letters regarding pre-sale tickets should come home this week. Tickets will also be 
    available in the school office beginning Monday, February 22nd
    Come early and buy a cast or crew member a star for $1.00 and write a personal message to your special student. Stars 
    will be delivered backstage before the performance. 
    There will be no reserved seating and seats fill fast, so please plan accordingly. 
     We hope to see you there!! 

    PARENTS OF CURRENT 6TH GRADE STUDENTS 

    Mark your calendars now for the 7th grade trip to the Laurentian Environmental Center next fall. For many students in the 
    Mounds View School District, their trip to the Laurentian Environmental Center (LEC) was a highlight of their middle 
    school years. We are very excited to announce an opportunity for our current 6th grade students to participate in the 
    Laurentian trip in the fall of 2016. Students will spend 3 days and 2 nights of educational and team-building activities in 
    the north woods of Minnesota. 
    Trip 1: Monday, October 24th through Wednesday October 26th
    Trip 2: Wednesday, October 26th through Friday, October 28th
    LEC is a public residential educational facility that combines environmental education, leadership training and outdoor 
    skills recreation programs. Please visit the LEC website at www.laurentiancenter.org for more information. 
    More information will be forthcoming about this exciting opportunity. 
     

    IRONDALE GIRLS LACROSSE TRYOUTS 

    Any 7th or 8th grade girls interested in trying out for the Irondale High School Girls LaCrosse Team should attend practices 
    in the Irondale Gym from 6:30-8:00 PM on these dates: 2/10, 2/15, 2/22, 3/2, 3/8, 3/16, 3/21 and 3/23. 
    Seniors will be on hand to help girls who have no experience (or even equipment). 
     

    REGISTRATION FOR WINTER ACTIVITIES 

    Registration for winter activities is still open for Floor Hockey, Swimming and Co-Ed Sport Games. Please register

    FAMILY SKI NIGHT 

    Another Family Ski Night has been added! Please join us on Sunday, Feb 14th at Afton Alps. This event is available to 
    anyone who lives or works in the Mounds View School District. Take advantage of these special rates, sign up now - the

    It's time to register for the 2nd half of the year! We meet Wednesdays in the Cafeteria from 2:45 to 4pm. If you
