    LOST AND FOUND

Please check out the Lost and Found tables in the front lobby.  Anything still left on Friday, June 10 will be given to charity.

    MOUNDS VIEW GIRLS GOLF FUNDRAISER

The MVHS girls’ golf team announces the return of this ever-so-popular summer FUNdraiser.  We will be taking orders to flock friends, neighbors, family members, or the victim of your choice with a yard full of pink flamingos.  For $30, this is a great way to say Congratulations, Best Wishes, Happy Birthday/Anniversary, or just to have fun!   We will begin flocking on Monday, June 13.  Please contact Lisa Ganske @ mikeganske1000@msn.com, or call 612-816-5120, with any questions or to receive ordering information!  Get in early before dates fill up!

    HIGHVIEW SUMMER READING CHALLENGE

Take part in the Highview Summer Reading Challenge!  Participants will be asked to choose 8 books to read over the summer.  From these 8 books, students will choose books to compete against each other and enter them into a bracket.  As the books are read, they will get rated by the reader with one book being selected as their favorite read of the summer.

Bracket sheets should be turned into Ms. Woehrle in the fall.  Participants will be entered in a drawing to win free books!!

Information and bracket sheets will be handed out in ELA classes.  For additional copies of the bracket sheet, visit here.  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Woehrle in the Media Center.

CONCORDIA LANGUAGE VILLAGE SPANISH DAY CAMP

A torch relay kicks off this week of Olympic cheer, culminating in a closing ceremony with a parade of flags on the last day! Whether a camper dreams of being an Olympic spectator or an athlete, all will find their place in fun activities inspired both by real Olympic sports and activities that have been selected for their spirit of teamwork and play, and it will all happen in Spanish! Beginning language learners through experienced speakers will run, jump, chant and cheer their way to an understanding of the significance of the Olympics and the geography tied to the Rio 2016 games, while getting to know Rio athletes from Spanish speaking countries. Concordia Language Villages utilizes immersion methodologies of games, movement, art projects, dramatic play and songs to promote language learning and global awareness. The camp is open to all incoming 6th-8th graders and will take place Monday, August 8, through Friday, August 12, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Chippewa Middle School. In order to plan staffing and materials, all registrations are due no later than Monday, July 25.
