"Ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow."- UnknownNEW NEWSSummer Photo Contest WinnerCongratulations to 6th Grader Angelica Severin who won our Summer Photo Contest with her "Lighthouse Read" submission. Angelica won a $25 Barnes and Noble Gift Card.Mandatory Parent MeetingThere will be a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING of all students cast in Beauty and the Beast, Jr. on September 22, 2016. We have two times available for parents to attend so we can accommodate many schedules: 4:00 p.m. after practice in the choir room or 7:00 p.m. that evening in the LMC. The musical is a co-curricular activity so there is a fee of $12.00 for all students. If that is a hardship, there are scholarships. If your child is interested in being backstage crew, there is no fee but you may want to come to the meeting for information about the musical. Thanks for supporting your child's interest in the arts!Travel Plan Forms Available HereWe realize there are times when families take vacations when school is in session. If that is the case, we ask that you please complete the "Travel Plan Form" available here. This form is used to inform the school office and teachers of your child's absence. Also, just a reminder to parents planning to take students out-of-town for a week or more should arrange with the teachers/Deans to have school assignments issued in advance of the trip. Students should also plan to stay after school, if needed, when they return to make up missed work.
