Thanksgiving is a time when all of us look forward to sharing a meal with our loved ones. For some families, having enough to eat can be a real challenge, especially during the holidays. Last year, nearly 600 families participated in this program. If you or someone you know needs help with holiday foods, please have them call the food shelf at 651-621-7451. Donations are also needed to help purchase turkeys, as it is one thing that the food shelf is never able to get a very good deal on. This year, the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf is launching a new project, "Thanksgiving For All". For $10, you can provide a turkey for a family in need or for $20, you can provide a turkey and all the fixings for a family in need this holiday season.

You will have the opportunity to help at our Parent Communication Night on Thursday, October 6. The form is also attached here for your convenience. Feel free to print out and send to school with your donation. You can also donate online at http://www.ralphreederfoodshelf.org.

This fall, the School Board is reviewing the start times of all schools. To allow all families time to adjust schedules, a decision will be made before February 2017. Implementation of any alterations would occur in fall 2017. Parents have been invited via e-mail to participate in sharing their thoughts about start times online. Parents can also visitwww.moundsviewschools.org/starttimes to access the link or to follow progress on this issue throughout the fall.
