Our upcoming STEAM class field trips are listed below. All field trips are FREE and will return back to Edgewood by 4:00 p.m. Students may take the after-school activity bus, walk home or be picked up by a parent. If your student is in any of the STEAM classes listed below, please remind them to get their permission forms signed and turned into the school office ASAP.
The "Photography" STEAM Class will be going on a field trip Thursday, November 3, to the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis. Students will leave at 1:30 p.m. and return to Edgewood by 4:00 p.m. Permission forms should be turned in to Mrs. Crary or Ms. Dodor ASAP. A copy of the permission form can be found here.The "Outdoor Adventures" STEAM Class will be going on a field trip Friday, November 11, to the French Regional Park in Plymouth, MN and participating in a Geocaching experience led by experts from the Three Rivers Park District. It will be necessary for students to be dressed appropriately for outdoor activities as this will be a rain or shine trip. Closed-toed shoes are required and we strongly recommend students wear a long-sleeve shirt and pants, as well as bring hats/jackets/gloves as needed based on the weather forecast. Students will leave Edgewood at 1:20 p.m. and return back to Edgewood at 3:50 p.m. Permission forms should be turned in to Mrs. Peloquin or Mr. Weiler by Thursday, November 3. With this tour, they will be completing a scavenger hunt to learn about the campus itself. They will also be traveling to the Minnesota Science Museum to explore the new exhibit "RACE: Are We So Different?" This is a very exciting event for our 8th graders and we are excited to spend the day with them.The cost of the field trip is FREE! Join Irondale's Drama Club for their Fall Musical, Disney's "The Little Mermaid", from November 3-6 at Irondale High School Auditorium, 2425 Long Lake Road. - Wednesdays, November 9, 16, or 30, from 12:30-2:00 walk-in registration for toys - no need to make an appointment. Please bring: picture ID for yourself, current piece of mail (proof of residence), some form of identification on your children (medical cards, school IDs, birth certificates, or social security cards).
