    Title One Overview for Families

The following elementary schools received Title One (school-wide) federal funding to support all learners: Bel Air, Sunnyside, Pike Lake Kindergarten Center, Pinewood and Valentine Hills Elementary Schools.

    What is Title One?

Title I is the largest source of federal education funding, providing over $14 billion to schools with high numbers or percentages of children living in poverty.

    • Mounds View Schools are operating a schoolwide program which may provide services to all students.

    Title One School Wide Plan

A Title One School Wide Plan is created in collaboration with staff, parents and administrators

    • A Compact is created by a Title One Advisory Council consisting of the principal, teachers, and parents. A Compact is an agreement between the school and family to improve student performance.

    • The Compact is part of our Parent Involvement Plan and is shared with families at the beginning of the school year.

    • Parents provide feedback on how we use the Title One Funds for Parent Involvement

    • A School-wide plan has been developed with a group of stakeholders, including parents, teachers and administrators.  To find our school-wide plan, please click here.

Please continue to clip and donate your Box Tops for Education and Labels for Education to your homeroom.  These items may seem small but they are making a big impact at our school. Every Pink Box Top and Label make a difference.
    Thank you, Barbara
