We'll see you at the spring concerts in May.Irondale Registration InformationThe Irondale Deans will be visiting Edgewood on Thursday, January 5, to meet with 8th graders and review registration options for 9th grade. In early January, families should also receive a letter with placement recommendations and additional registration information. More information will be forthcoming regarding Registration Night.West Side ConcertsThe West Side Music Festivals are just around the corner! There will be three concert nights featuring students from the West Side Schools (Bel Air, Pinewood, Sunnyside, Valentine, Edgewood, Highview, Irondale). All concerts will be held at Irondale High School.January 9: Orchestra Concert at 7:00 p.m.January 12: Choir Concert at 7:00 p.m.January 19: Band Concert at 7:00 p.m.Treat your talented student (and others!) to the Annual West Side Orchestra Bake Sale at the concert on January 9.Integrated Science MaterialsWith the holidays coming up, this is a reminder that Integrated Sciences is always in need of a few supplies you might have lying around...- Cardboard (boxes, paper towel/toilet paper/empty wrapping paper rolls, cereal boxes, etc.)- Plastic items (2-liter bottles specifically, but random things like empty tape rolls are also good)- Random craft itemsStudents get REALLY creative with random things so feel free to bring in other things not on this list that you would like to get rid of. Our upcoming STEAM class field trips are listed below. All field trips are FREE and will return back to Edgewood by 4:00 p.m. Students may take the after-school activity bus, walk home or be picked up by a parent. If your student is in any of the STEAM classes listed below, please remind them to get their permission forms signed and turned into the school office ASAP.The "Trash to Treasure" STEAM Class field trip to Ax-Man Surplus in Fridley, that was cancelled last week, has been rescheduled for Friday, January 6. Students will leave at 1:20 p.m. and return to Edgewood at 2:45 p.m. Any questions, please contact Ms. Heidi Johnson or Mr. Eric Johnson.The "Puppets and You!" STEAM Class will be going on a field trip Friday, January 13, to Sunnyside Elementary School. During the field trip, students will present their puppets and a short puppet show to a 4th grade class before leading a short workshop with the elementary students on puppeteering. Students will leave at 1:20 p.m. and return to Edgewood at 2:40 p.m. Permission forms should be turned in to Mr. Perucco or Ms. Sayler by Wednesday, December 21. Registration for winter sports (Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Floor Hockey, and Swimming) is now available online here. Winter Basketball will be starting on Monday, January 9, so register soon as space is limited. Girls will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays and boys will practice Tuesday and Thursdays. Our upcoming STEAM Showcase will be on Wednesday, January 25, from 1:30 - 2:45 p.m. We are looking for guest "judges" to help judge the students' work. Your time would consist of a brief orientation about the Showcase and then you will be assigned a class to "judge". Our hope is to have two or more judges per classroom. Any school supplies and spirit wear are sold on behalf of EPAT. All funds are directed back to Edgewood for use by staff.

Food Taste Testing: Earn some extra $$CASH$$ and sample some really great food. All you have to do is log on and register at www.fpitesters.com.
Box Tops: Please save all of your box tops and turn them in at Edgewood. There is a drop box in the front office of the school. This is just another way to earn money for our kids. Please be sure Box Tops are not expired as they will not accept.
