7th, 8th, and Jazz Band students will be going on a band tour to Pinewood and Sunnyside Elementary Schools on Thursday, February 23. Students will be responsible for bringing their instrument, folders, and music. Percussionists will need to bring everything they use and should come to the Band Room immediately before school to begin loading gear. Students are responsible for bringing their own money for lunch or a bag lunch. Students must have written permission to attend this activity.  Please sign the permission form and return it to Mr. Johnson by Wednesday, February 22. MNSOTA Tier 1 Orchestra Festival

On Thursday, February 9, the 8th Grader Orchestra will perform for the MNSOTA Tier 1 Orchestra Festival at St. Croix Preparatory in Stillwater. If possible, Ms. Spargo would like the Orchestra students to arrive at Edgewood at 7:15 a.m. so she can have a brief rehearsal and leave promptly when the bus arrives. Students will leave at 8:00 a.m. and arrive back around 12:45 p.m. Since this will interfere with the regular lunch schedule, all students attending the field trip will need to bring money to eat lunch at Subway or bring a bagged lunch. Although the performance is not open to the public, 2-3 parents may attend as a chaperone. If you can help out, please mark your interested on the permission form. Permission forms are due ASAP.  You can find a copy of the form here.
