    Mark your calendars for Mounds View High School Information Night in the Mounds View High School Commons and Auditorium.  Eighth grade students, parents and non-public school families are invited to learn more about Mounds View Public Schools.


    Students with last names A-L should attend from 5:30 - 7:00 PM; Students with last names  M-Z  should attend from 7:00 - 8:30 PM.  If families have conflicts, they may attend either session.


    Mounds View High School will also be holding an Early College Information Night on February 21 at 7:00 PM.  The purpose of this event will be a question and answer about Early College at the high school



    Highview had two Science Olympiad teams compete in the Regional Science Olympiad competition held at the University of Minnesota on January 28.  HV's teams place 1st and 6th overall (out of 11 teams competing). In addition to their overall rankings, the teams earned medals in the following individual events:

    • Food Science (1st)
    • Hovercraft (1st)
    • Road Scholar (1st & 3rd)
    • Scrambler (1st)
    • Wind Power (1st)
    • Dynamic Planet (3rd)
    • Ecology (3rd)
    • Meteorology (3rd)
    • Tower Building (3rd)

    HV Science Olympiad is coached by science teachers Ellen Gurrola and Courtney Baugher, and community volunteer Kathy Pape.

    Mark your calendars!  We are very excited to announce an opportunity for our 7th grade students (2017-2018 School Year) to spend 3 days and 2 nights of educational and team-building activities in the north woods of Minnesota at the Laurentian Environmental Center.  

    Highview will have two trips.  The first trip will be Monday, October 23-25, 2017; the second trip will be Wednesday, October 25 through Friday, October 27, 2017. 

    More information will be coming your way this summer! 



    Valentine's Day is coming up, buy a candy gram for your friends!  Highview Service Learning Club will be selling Candy Grams for 50 cents each during lunches. All proceeds go to H20 for Life.   



    Parent/Player Information Night for Irondale Boys Lacrosse will take place in the Irondale High School Cafeteria on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 6:30 PM.  Captain’s practice to follow from 7:30-9:00 PM.  All middle school players are invited.  If you have questions, please email irondaleboyslacrosse@gmail.com 



    The Mounds View High School Girls Golf Booster Club will be holding a meeting on Thursday, February 23rd @ 7:00pm at the White Bear Caribou on Hwy. 96 and 35E.  We will have the Caribou meeting room reserved for this event. We welcome any returning families as well as any new families to the Girls Golf Program (grades 7-12).  Please bring your ideas, questions, suggestions and positive energy for warm weather and green grass!  Please contact Lisa Ganske with any questions (612-816-5120).



    Attention all Mounds View Middle School students!  Come to Concordia Language Villages with us this May!

    What:  Spanish Immersion weekend in Bemidji, MN 

    When: May 11-14th (Thursday- Sunday) 

    Theme of the Camp:  The theme for the Spanish village weekend this year is  El Camino Andino.  Concordia  will be focusing the program on the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

    Cost: $320 includes round trip transportation, lodging, meals and all programming.

    Join the Highview Middle School cast and crew as they present “Beauty and the Beast Jr. “ on Thursday and Friday, March 2nd and 3rd at 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, March 4th at 2:00 PM. 

    Tickets will be sold during lunches the week of the performance and will also be available at the door for $5.00 each.   Pre-sale tickets will go on sale soon for members of the cast and crew.  Parents of cast and crew members-- letters regarding pre-sale tickets should come home late next week.  Tickets will also be available in the school office closer to the performance date. 

    Come early and buy a cast or crew member a star for $1.00 and write a personal message to your special student.  Stars will be delivered backstage before the performance. 

    There will be no reserved seating and seats fill fast, so please plan accordingly.    We hope to see you there!!



    Irondale’s KnightKrawler Robotics, FRC Team 2052, invites you to attend our annual Sponsors, Family, and Friends Night on Friday, February 24, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Irondale High School Auditorium, 2425 Long Lake Road, New Brighton. Come meet the team, learn this year's game and view our 2017 robot as we prepare to get ready for this year's game challenge FIRST Steamworks. We hope you can join us!

    Look no further than the Irondale High School Marching Knights Winter Music of the Knight

    Who: Multiple groups from Minnesota and Wisconsin

    What: Drumline and Colorguard Show

    When: Saturday, February 18.  Drumline 1pm, Colorguard 6:30pm.

    Where: Irondale High School Varsity Gym

    The talented Marching Knights will perform their new shows: "Forever" (Drumline) and “Please Hold” (Colorguard).  Ticket prices are $8 for seniors/students and $10 for adults and will get you into both competitions.



    On Thursday's during the month of February, Moe's Restaurant and Bar (2400 Hwy 10; Mounds View) will donate 20% of the meal portion of your bill to the Irondale Marching Knights Band program.  When checking out, remember to mention Irondale Bands.  Thank you for your patronage to Moe's and for your support of the Irondale Marching Knights Band Program!



    For those students planning to attend Mounds View High School, their Information & Registration Night for 8th Graders will be February 16, 2017 from 5:30-7:00 PM for students whose last name begins A-L and from 7:00-8:30 PM for those students with last names beginning M-Z.  This event will be at Mounds View High School.  Again, Highview Middle School Deans will be on hand for questions and assistance.

    Highview 8th graders will visit their respective high schools on April 6, 2017 from 9:45-11:00 AM.

    Both Mounds View and Irondale High School Deans and student mentors will be at Highview Middle School for a Question and Answer Session with 8th graders on May 16, 2017 from 11:30 AM- 12:30 PM.   

    8th Grade students & families invited to learn about co-curricular opportunities at Mounds View High School Fall Co-Curriculum Day on May 17, 2017 at 6:30 PM in the Mounds View High School Commons. 

    "Spring Into Fall" Irondale High School Co-Curriculum Day will take place on May 31, 2017 at 6:30 PM at Irondale High School.  8th Grade students & families invited to learn about co-curricular opportunities at Irondale High School.

    The First Day of High School is Tuesday, September 5, 2017.  We know our Highview students will be ready.  Hawk Pride!
