Congratulations to the following Chippewa Strategy Game Players for their awards at last week's CSGA Winter 6th to Adult Ticket to Ride Tournament.

    8th Grader, Alex Siechen - 1st Place

    6th Grader, Will Anderson - 4th Place

Great job for the Chippewa Table Top Players!

Please help Chippewa Middle School Lego League Team Wylde with their research project.  The team's project is to inform people about White Nose Syndrome in bats.  To learn more about White Nose Syndrome, please visit the team's web page where there is educational information and a survey.  Thank you!

Our lost and found is overflowing.  Please have your student stop by the table in the front lobby to claim their missing belongings.  Any unclaimed items will be donated after Friday, March 10.

Attention 7th and 8th grade girls interested in participating in track and field this spring at Mounds View High School.  Please plan on attending the "Back to Track" informational meeting on Tuesday, March 7, at 7 pm in the high school auditorium.  It is mandatory for all those planning to participate.  The season officially begins Monday, March 13.  Additional information can be found on the team’s website.

Last call!  Any student interested in the Immersion Weekend at Concordia Language Villages - there are a few remaining spots for the district that are now open - first come first serve!  Chippewa filled their allocated spots VERY quickly but now there are a few spaces remaining- sign up through Community Education.

Registration deadline is Monday, March 13, or when all available spots are taken, whichever comes first.  Dates of the Immersion Weekend are May 11-14.  See the Community Ed website for more details.

This weekend is your last chance to get signed up for Swimming (Mondays-Thursdays; March 6-April 6).  Spots are filling up fast, so make sure and register soon!  Have your student grab a paper registration from the Greeter's Desk or go to the Community Ed website to register through FeePay.

As the School Board continues to work towards a start times decision this spring, a transportation consultant asked the District to consider adjusting some parameters.  The Board agreed to support flexibility with the following parameters if another option can be created.

    • Some elementary schools and middle schools might have slightly different start times within their levels.

    • For efficiency, the entire fleet of different-sized buses might be used more creatively, depending on neighborhood densities or traffic patterns.

This spring, the District will continue to work with the consultant and bring updates to future School Board meetings.  Communication and information about start times will continue to be shared with families through e-newsletters, at School board meetings, and updated at www.moundsviewschools.org/starttimes.

Check out what is happening at Chippewa and around the community.  Here you will find additional information that might not be including in the enews.  Be sure to check back regularly, as new flyers are added often.
