This week, District Health Services staff have been notifying school families impacted by the recent EpiPen recall.  According to the FDA, “this recall is due to the potential that these devices may contain a defective part that may result in the devices’ failure to activate.”

Health Office staff have checked the EpiPens stored in all schools, examining their lot numbers and expiration dates.  If an EpiPen was found to be included in the recall, a parent or guardian has been contacted individually.  If any student or staff member has an EpiPen that is part of the recall, they are advised to follow these steps and then call their pharmacist.  Do not throw away the EpiPen until it has been replaced.  For more information, visit here.

Attention all Sixth and Seventh Grade Students!  Are you an artist?  Are you creative?  Do you have some bold ideas?  We are looking for a new cover for next year's student planner!  We will be accepting entries for the cover design for the next few weeks.  If you'd like to participate, please create a design on a half sheet of paper (8 1/2 by 5 1/2) and submit it to the front office by Friday, April 21.  It should say "Chippewa Middle School" and "2017-18" somewhere on the cover.  A panel of judges will pick from the entries and the winner will be announced in May. We are eager to see the creative and fun pieces you come up with!

Please bring in your old Newspapers to help out our Science Department.  The 6th graders will be "Saving the Penguins" in early May.

Drop off any old newspapers in the front office of Chippewa.  We appreciate the help.

It's SPRING time and that means we’re ready to head back outdoors for a new round of sports!
