We appreciate your support in using the carpool lane to ensure the safety of all.
WEST Track Meet this Monday, May 15th - 1:15-5:00PM
4th and 5th grade WEST meet at Irondale
Schools competing: Bel Air, Sunnyside, Pinewood
Address: Irondale Highschool Track (Behind parking lot)
2425 Long Lake Rd, New Brighton, MN 55112
Students will be leaving school on buses at 12:45PM and heading to Irondale Highschool.
You are welcome to come to watch us compete. When track team members have finished their events, they can stay and cheer on their teammates. If you need to take them home early after their events, they just need to tell one of us they are leaving so we can record the information. PLEASE have kids dressed for the weather! Be ready for rain as well.
Students are encouraged to wear their orange track shirts for the meet and loose fitting wind pants or shorts.
Students will all be leaving school early on buses to Irondale. There will be one bus returning to Bel Air after the meet is over, so talk with your child about plans to get home if they return to Bel Air on the bus. It is difficult to know an exact return time, but we anticipate to be back at Bel Air by 5:30PM.
There will be a concession stand, so after competing, students can visit concessions if necessary. There are also restrooms located down by the field. Students and families can watch competitions from the stands because no one is allowed on the field except for event competitors and coaches. All students will leave belongings in the stands during the meet and EACH SCHOOL will have a section of the stands. Look for the BEL AIR orange shirts!!
Thank you for your support!!
Coaches Manka, Janish, Rousseau, and Ries

Start times for 2018
After years of consideration and an intensive eight-month public review, the School Board approved start times changes that feature an 8:35 a.m. – 3:15 p.m. schedule for the high schools. The high schools’ current schedule is 7:25 a.m. – 2:05 p.m. The new schedule will go into effect in fall 2018, giving parents, students and staff more than a year to adjust schedules and make plans for the 2018-19 school year.
To view the 2018-2019 start times for all schools, visit www.moundsviewschools.org/starttimes.
Current program offerings will remain in place in all schools, and in the coming months schools will determine how to structure before- and after-school programs. At the April 25 School Board meeting, the Board asked for a mid-year planning report in advance of the 2018-19 school year, and it committed to reviewing start times every three years as required by policy.
