    Our first student party of the year will be on Friday, October 6th from 2:50 – 4:30 PM.  This party will be free for all Highview students.  There will be Activity Buses available at 4:30 PM.  If students are not taking an Activity Bus, they must be picked up by 4:30 PM.  Hawk Pride!!

    This fall, voters will consider the School Board’s facilities bond proposal to add room at all schools throughout the District in response to rising enrollment, aging facilities and stressed capacity.

    But thanks to early voting in New Brighton, residents of New Brighton can vote today. 

    From now through November 6, residents of New Brighton can vote in person at New Brighton City Hall, 803 Old Highway 8, NW.

    Hours of voting:
    Monday through Friday                       8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. 
    Saturday, November 4                        10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

    Come along, sing a song, and join the jamboree!  Please join the Irondale Orchestra on Thursday, October 5, at 6:30 p.m. in the Irondale Varsity Gymnasium for the Disney Pajama Concert!

    Bring your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews - anyone from one month to one century!  Wear your pajamas or favorite Disney character costume, sing along to your favorite Disney tunes, and enjoy a night of wonderful music.  We hope to see you there!



    Highview students should show their best Hawk Pride behavior when attending sporting events at Irondale High School.  Students are not allowed to bring footballs to football games please.  Thank you for always making us proud!  Hawk Pride!



    Join the Irondale Marching Knights, and Director Bill Sucha, for the 25th Annual Music of the Knight Marching Band Competition on Saturday, September 30, at 5 pm.  This competitive field show is a spectacular combination of music, marching, movement, and visual effects featuring three classes (A, AA, AAA).

    The day includes: 14 local and regional marching bands from Minnesota and Wisconsin, special activities celebrating our 25th show, and an exhibition show by the Irondale Marching Knights performing this year's show "Witch Among Us."  Tickets available at the gate; $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (60+) and K-12 students, and free for preschool.  Parking is limited; however off-site parking lots are served by shuttles.  In case of rain, the show will move indoors.

    Special Education District Overview and Parent-to-Parent Connectedness

    Bev Zelinski, director of student services at Mounds View Public Schools, will provide an overview of District special education services. After this short presentation, the SEPPAC co-chairs will lead a parent-to-parent discussion group. Discussion will include how parents can help each other navigate the system and advocate for their child. This is a great opportunity to connect with other parents who also have children receiving special education services within Mounds View Public Schools.

    The Minnesota VFW is hosting their annual essay contest for students.  The theme this year is “America’s Gift to My Generation.”  Students in 6th, 7th and 8th grade are invited to participate.  All essays should be in English with no color or graphics and cannot be less than 300 words or greater than 400 words in length. 


    Students should see their ELA teacher for more information.  Essays must be submitted to the office by Monday, October 30th. 



    Tickets are on sale now for "Rock the School House," a fundraising event supporting the Mounds View Schools Education Foundation. On Saturday, November 11, parents, educators and community leaders will gather at Vadnais Heights Commons from 6 p.m.-11 p.m.

    The evening includes a wine & spirits toss, brief program, a live and silent auction and fund-a-need. This year, guests will be treated to some of our very best musical talent and scientific minds.

    To purchase early bird tickets now until October 10 visit www.moundsviewschoolsef.org. Ticket includes heavy appetizers. There will be a cash bar offering beer, wine and mixed drinks. 

    Last year’s event sold out in record time and raised more than $50,000 in support of Mounds View School district programs.
