Aimee Causey-Mullaney needs a couple of people to assist her with these items. If you are interested, please let us know. We would love a person or two on-board for the spring book fair so we can provide some shadow opportunities to learn the details.

    ***Bel Air Lost & Found***
The Bel Air Lost & Found is extremely full of 'Lost' clothes.  If your student is missing something, please stop by to check the Lost & Found for the item(s).
Bel Air will be having Communication Nights on Nov. 2, 9 & 15 and the Book Fair will be going on Nov. 6-9.  These are great opportunities to check out the Lost & Found, as well.
At Thanksgiving Break - Nov. 20-25, all items remaining in the Lost & Found will be donated.
Check for your student's clothes before they are gone...
    ***Cold Weather Information***
Now that the weather is cooling down, please dress your kids accordingly for the day - Hats, warm mittens, scarfs, snow pants and warm coats. We go outside everyday that the temperature is 0 or above and windchill is -10 below or above.

Boots are required for all grade levels to play on the playground. Boots and snow pants are required for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade to play on the playground; 4th and 5th grade need only boots. If a student does not have these things, they need to stay on the blacktop during recess. If a student gets wet there are no dry clothes for them to change into. All winter gear is important to keep your child warm and comfortable.

The start of fall means the beginning of our Reading Buddies Program at Bel Air Elementary. We hope you will consider volunteering for this program.

There has been a slight change in how the program will work this year.  Volunteers will be meeting with students on Tuesdays only, from 10:00 - 11:00.  You can choose to be here for an hour and meet with 2 students or stay for half an hour and meet with just one student. Volunteers and students will meet together in the IMC (library) for some reading fun and to get to know each other.  With the new time, Reading Buddies will not take place over lunch and recess.

We will be kicking off our 2017- 2018 Reading Buddies program with an orientation on Tuesday, November 7th at 10:00 am, in the IMC (library).  Reading Buddies will begin the following week, November 14th.

Please fill out the form below, if you are interested in becoming a Reading Buddy this year.
