We are pleased to invite all incoming 6th graders and their families to Edgewood this summer for a 3 + 1 goal setting session. At this meeting your Dean will get to you know you and your child while establishing a 3 + 1 academic plan for success. The dean will be your primary contact for your student on issues related to academic planning, grades, and support for social/emotional needs.
It is important that we meet with you and your child prior to the start of the school year to discuss your student's academic plan and the best ways to support your child's learning. A successful middle school experience will ensure a smooth transition to high school.

Girls Cross Country
Irondale Girls Cross Country is expanding to a 7-12 program. We would love to have girls interested in running to be part of the high school team. Athletes will run the same meets, be part of all team bonding events, get to experience, and create relationships before transitioning to the high school and start or continue building their Knight Pride! The only difference middle school athletes may see is an adjusted training schedule (not as many miles) and some shorter races (two miles instead of 5k). The season starts Monday, August 13. Practices are every day Monday - Saturday. We would love to help show you what a great life long activity running can be. Come join! Any questions please contact Diane Shaw firstname.lastname@example.org
