Disposition of grievancesTwo Step 3 grievances were filed by paraeducator employees when the grievances were denied at Step 2. The grievances were heard by the School Board grievance committee on June 26, 2018. At the recommendation of the grievance committee, the School Board denied the grievances.
Budget amendmentsBudget amendments are necessary as additional information becomes known. The Board approved final budget amendments for fiscal year 2017-2018. To see a complete summary of the approved amendments visit www.moundsviewschools.org/finance.
Budget approvedThe Board adopted the 2018-2019 budget as presented by Carole Nielsen, executive director of administrative services, and Bridget Peterson, director of finance. The fiscal year 2018-2019 budget was developed based on the assumptions provided by the School Board through several Board meetings and work sessions over the past six months. The proposed budgets represent the financial projections for the District for the general fund, nutrition services fund, community services fund, construction fund and debt service funds. Superintendent's evaluationBoard member Marre Jo Sager read a summary of Superintendent Chris Lennox’s appraisal for the 2017-2018 school year. The summary stated, “Superintendent Lennox is an outstanding leader in all capacities. He is a performance- and results-driven decision-maker who works with the best interest of students in mind at all times. He is professional, personable and approachable. Superintendent Lennox continues to exhibit the highest level of leadership in executing his duties as the chief executive of the Mounds View Public Schools.
