The parking lot improvements that were completed over the summer have contributed to a more organized and safe student drop-off and pick-up routine. In an effort to continually improve this process, we ask all parents to please stay in the lane closest to the curb/the school when dropping off or picking up students. We do not want students crossing in front of vehicles so it is very important that all cars remain in the lane closest to the school/curb. The outside lanes should only be used to exit the line after your student has exited the car (in the morning) or after your student has safely entered your car (in the afternoon). Additionally, do not use the visitor parking lot in the center for pick-up/drop.  Please see this Drop-off and Pick-up Diagram for a visual of the procedures.

Thank you for helping us during this transition with our new parking lot. Your student’s safety is our first priority.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.  If you have any questions please feel free to send me an email at sheila.eller@moundsviewschools.org.

The purpose of Parent Information Night is for parents to have the opportunity to experience their child’s daily routine at Highview as they meet their child’s teachers and move from class to class.  We will have student schedules printed and available in the lobby for parents to pick-up and use throughout the evening .

Parents will experience a shortened version of a typical school day.  In each class, parents will receive an overview of the course, find out how grades are determined, learn what assignments will be like and hear how the teacher feels parents can best help their students be successful.

6th grade parents will have the opportunity to meet with teachers for a 6th Grade Information Meeting in the Media Center either at 5:15 PM or 8:00 PM.  7th Grade Laurentian Parent Chaperones will meet at 8:00 PM in Room 202.

If you haven’t already, sign up for ParentVUE.  ParentVUE is a parent portal that gives parents secure, electronic access to their student's records. Teachers and staff in all of our schools use this system to provide families with more consistent and reliable communications about their child's progress.  Parents of middle school students can view attendance records, test history, schedules, grades, assignments and personal information. Personal Learning Plans can be accessed on ParentVUE and parents can even make payments for meals and activity fees.

We look forward to meeting all of our parents and look forward to a great year. We hope to see you there!

All students who have not previously been photographed this school year will have their picture taken on Picture Retake Day the morning of  Friday, September 28.  All students must be photographed for the yearbook and for their school ID.

If are interested in purchasing school photos, order forms are available in the school office or orders may be places online now at mylifetouch.com.  Highview’s Picture Retake Day ID is MI218130Y0

If students wish to have their photo RETAKEN, they must bring their old photos to school with them on Picture Retake Day.  They should bring the photos to the Lifetouch photographer when they have their picture taken.
