    WHAT'S HAPPENING?

    cherrydale Edgewood's Fall Fundraiser

The Edgewood fundraiser is an opportunity for kids to try selling, hearing no, then continuing on showing perseverance. Every company needs sales people and sales is a marketable skill.

Kids who sell at least five (5) items will be allowed to attend a BMX bike show with Olympian-level riders!

We encourage online ordering. Each student can tailor a web page with an individual link to send out to their potential customers. Here is another opportunity for kids to try their hand at website design.

Our sales kick-off starts on Thursday, September 27, and kids will have 12 days to sell items.

    Parent volunteer opportunities will include:
    >Collecting fundraiser packets on 10/9, 10/10 & 10/11 at  7:15-7:45 a.m. in Edgewood front hall. Need one person each day.
    >Tabulate order forms on 10/10 in Edgewood's front office conference room. We will meet between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. Need 5 people during each 2-hour time slot.
    >Sort and hand out product on 11/13 between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. in Edgewood's cafeteria. Need two people during each 2-hour time slot.

    earbuds Important Earbud Reminder

We'd like to remind all students and families that with the increase of technology use in our school, ear buds and/or headphones have become a necessary basic school supply and - similar to pencils - are something used every day in classrooms. Please check in with your Edgewood student to make sure that he or she has working headphones or ear buds that can be left at school. If you are not able to send a pair of headphones or earbuds due to financial concerns, please let your student's dean know. If your student is in need of an extra pair of ear buds for class, Edgewood does have a vending machine available in the sixth grade hallway with ear buds for $1.50 each. (Please note: vending machine accepts quarters only.)  Thank you for your help in ensuring your student has this necessity.
