    cherrydale Edgewood's Fall Fundraiser
     
    Have you sold at least five items? Tell your family and friends to support the Edgewood Fall Fundraiser. Five items sold will get you in to the BMX show put on by an Olympic medalist. As you sell, bring your "Cowabunga" coupons to the front office for your cow collectibles. One week left to sell! ALL order forms and money must be returned no later than Tuesday, October 9. Not interested in purchasing items? Monetary donations are also appreciated! Checks should be made out to EPAT. 
     
    Parent volunteer opportunities for the fundraiser include: 
    >Collecting fundraiser packets on 10/9, 10/10 & 10/11 at  7:15-7:45 a.m. in Edgewood front hall. Need one person each day.
    >Tabulate order forms on 10/10 in Edgewood's front office conference room. We will meet between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m. Need 5 people during each 2-hour time slot.
    >Sort and hand out product on 11/13 between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. in Edgewood's cafeteria. Need two people during each 2-hour time slot.

    Picture Retake Day is coming on Thursday, October 11. Want Lifetouch to retake your picture? Simply return your orginal package on Picture Retake Day.  Didn't get your picture taken at Orientation? Students can pick up an order form outside Student Services or you can order online at www.mylifetouch.com, ID# MI228001Y1. Even if you do not order photos, students should get their picture taken if: 
    - they want to be in the yearbook
    - they want a Student ID card to use for Irondale activities or MVCC.

    Join Community Partners for Youth for their Moonlight Fever TONIGHT, October 5, from 4:00-10:00 p.m. at CPY New Brighton (Christ the King Church just down the hill from Highview).     It is that time of year again when the Art Class needs a whole bunch of newspaper for projects. If you get the paper and are saving for recycling, please bring it to the front office.
     
     
    coat drive Coat Drive
     
    The Ralph Reeder Food Shelf is having their annual coat drive on Saturday, October 20, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Christ the King Church in New Brighton, MN. This is a great opportunity for families in need of quality, warm winter clothing - especially those with kids attending a school trip to Laurentian Environmental Center.     Seventh and eighth grade athletes who wish to participate on an Irondale High School sports team will register online. Before you begin your online registration, approval must be obtained from the middle school principal or dean, the high school principal, activities director and coach. In addition, signatures from both student and parent/guardian are also required. Please complete the following consent form and deliver to the high school activities office before you begin the online registration:

    spaghetti MV LIONS' Spaghetti Dinner

    The Mounds View LIONS' Annual All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner with meat sauce will be held on Thursday, October 11, from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the Kraus-Hartig VFW Post 6587, 8100 Pleasant View Drive, Spring Lake Park. Cost for the dinner is: Adults - $10.00 and Children (6-12 years) - $5.00. You can also satisfy your sweet tooth at our bake sale. Edgewood's LEO Club students will be volunteering for this event so come out and support this wonderful cause.

    Ramsey County Public Health hosts regular Fix-it and Mend-it clinics where people can bring appliances and clothing and have them repaired for free. Below is an upcoming schedule (also listed on facebook).

    As part of the Music at Mounds View Series, come see Koo Koo Kanga Roo on January 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mounds View High School Auditorium. Koo Koo Kanga Roo is the dance-a-long comedy show from Bryan and Neil, two friends who set out to experiment with live music and make it more fun. Armed with nothing more than an iPod, two mics, one giant rainbow and some gold sneakers, Koo Koo Kanga Roo puts on an all-ages dance party that invites everyone to join in.

    EPAT supports our staff and students in a variety of ways, from providing food items for staff, to chaperoning for events, to providing funds for teachers/students for various activities (back-to-school picnics, grade-level celebration days, etc.).
