BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATIONSAVE your BOX TOPS!!! Collect Box Tops from everyday foods and products you use in your home and help the Kindergarten Center! Each month your child will bring home a collection tracking sheet to return to school. The money we receive from the Box Tops for Education Program helps us provide some of the extras for classrooms. Last year we added several leveled texts to classroom libraries, which makes the Snail Lake literacy experience even stronger. Our goal for the year is to clip 22,000 box tops and we are currently at 3,800. The classrooms have a friendly competition against eachother to see who can collect the most! ISLAND LAKE PTA NEWS
PTA Meeting Highlights
At Monday’s PTA meeting, we voted to approve the funding of several items for our school! Thanks to your financial support, we are thrilled to be able to enhance our school!
The first is the funding of a new outdoor classroom! We will be working closely with the administration to create this new outdoor learning area! If you have any resources or ideas, please contact us! We will begin planning very soon! We also voted to help continue to bring iXL to our students and families for the next three years. We will split the cost of this valuable learning tool with the school. And finally, we will reimburse the school for the purchase of new outdoor playground equipment! This equipment, as suggested by Playworks, will give the students many new options for their recess activities! Thanks again for your support!!
