Class Descriptions

Work Based Learning

This class is about gaining the skills necessary to be successful in the work force.  We’ll work on goal setting, communicating with coworkers and bosses, building resumes, intereview skills, problem solving and other "soft skills" essential to all jobs.  Financial literacy, time and stress management will also be addressed.

World History

Civilization began in SW Asia and spreads throughout Africa and Asia; eventually creating unique cultures, religions and vast empires.  Major world cultures evolved throughout the Mediterranean Sea and the Americas.  We will learn how these cultures were built, organized, expanded and collapsed.  Most important, while studying these great civilizations, we will examine their impact on our world today.
