Class Descriptions

Work Based Learning

Earn credit by having a job!  Yeah!   Also, gain the skills necessary to be successful in the job force.  We’ll work on goal setting, communication, resumes, problem solving and workplace management.  Time and stress management as well as development of skills to move up the career ladder will also be addressed.

World History

The beginning of humankind starts in SW Asia and spreads throughout Africa and Asia, eventually creating great cultures, religions and civilizations.  Major world cultures evolved throughout the Mediterranean Sea and the Americas.  We will learn how these cultures were built, organized, and expanded.  While studying these great civilizations, will discuss their impact on our world today.

 US History

From humble beginings a nation was created.  The story of the United States is a complex story with many hidden, untold or forgotten chapters.  We will learn about the major events in our history, but more importantly we will ask the question, "Whose story is missing?"  Students will spend time asking and researching this important question.
