Thank you for participating in the Mounds View Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program! Because of you, I am able to spend each day doing what I love – interacting, supporting and educating young children and families in our community.  My name is Deanna Henrich and I have had the honor of teaching for 15 years in the same school district in which I was raised.  One might say I am home-grown!

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Master of Education, and hold dual-licenses in both early childhood and parent education. I began teaching when my first child was born and, during the same time, attended ECFE classes as a parent. It was a highlight of my week.  I was relieved to know I was not alone in my parenting experiences and I appreciated the contact with “big people”.  My husband and I have raised our two children in neighboring Lino Lakes.  I enjoy the blend of the suburban and rural, along with beauty of the lakes and wildlife.  With a passion for bicycling, you might see me riding through your neighborhood or at a local YMCA!

Families provide their children the first and most important learning environment.  As you nurture the growth and development of your child, parent education discussion groups offer a unique opportunity for information and support. I strive to empower parents with an emphasis on strengths, and to appreciate the uniqueness of each child and family. I look forward to working together with you as you create a relationship with your child that strengthens all areas of his or her development, and in turn, contributes to the well-being of our community.
