    Cherrydale Fall Fundraiser Information

Students received their fall fundraiser packets this past Monday, September 11. This is an optional fundraiser and we ask that students DO NOT go door-to-door but, rather, ask family and friends to participate/donate. Students can accept orders two ways - fill out the order form enclosed in the packet and collect money (checks payable to EPAT) at time of ordering or register online so family/friends can order via computer and items will be shipped directly to them. Students who sell 10 items will receive an ice cream party and students who sell 25 or more items will receive a hummer limo ride with a pizza and pop lunch!  For more information about the fundraiser or learn how to register online, click here.

Order forms and money are due on Tuesday, September 26, and delivery pick-up is Monday, October 23, between 3:30-6:00 p.m. Smaller orders can be sent home with students on the bus; however, larger orders must be picked up at school. PLEASE NOTE: If you cannot pick your order up, please arrange to have someone pick it up for you as Edgewood has very limited freezer space.

    Facilities Proposal Meeting

For the first time in 18 years, the District is asking residents to consider a bond proposal to add room at all schools in response to rising enrollment and stressed capacity. What does this mean for Edgewood Middle School?  You’re invited to attend a community meeting on Monday, September 25, at 5:30 p.m. at Edgewood. A School Board member, District administration and our school principal will present information and answer questions about the Election Day bond proposal for Mounds View Public Schools. All are invited to attend this meeting or any of the other meetings scheduled this fall. Learn more at www.moundsviewschools.org/facilities.

    donations Donations Needed

One of the STEAM classes is planning to do a boat building engineering challenge next Friday, September 15. If you have any of these following items at home, please drop off NO LATER THAN next Friday morning: 2-litter bottles, juice cartons, gallon milk containers, syrup containers, larger water bottles, or any type of container that would work for a boat body. Any items would be greatly appreciated.

Also...it's that time of year again where we are sending out a call for warm clothes for our students going to LEC later October/early November.  This means that students will need:
    • BOOTS!!! (We need these the most)
    • Mittens
    • Hats
    • Scarves
    • Jackets
    • Sweatshirts
    • Maybe snow pants
    • Warm socks (wool)
If you happen to have any extra of these items laying around at home and you're thinking, "Well... I would LOVE to donate these to a good cause!", bring them to the front office. Thank you!
