I have been teaching special education in the Mounds View School District since September, 1999, and in the InSTEPS program since September, 2007.
I received my Bachelor's Degree from Mankato State University in Business Education and Accounting. I have a Master's of Education with a focus in Special Education, Learning Disabilities, grades K-12, from Bethel College. I added an additional license for Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, grades K-12, from St. Cloud State University. I also have endorsements for Keyboarding and Computer Applications, grades K-8, from Winona State University. After graduating from college I taught for four years, changed careers for 13 years, and then returned to teaching.
My husband, Mike, and I live in Shoreview with our son, Sam. Sam attended Mounds View Public Schools, graduating in 2011. He attended Winona State University, graduated with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood, and currently teaches in Rochester, MN.
