    EARLY RELEASES


    The following groups are released early from class today for activities/competitions:

    Girl's Golf-small group of players released at 10:15 AM, V/JV released at 1:40 PM and B Squad released at 2:00 PM

    Boy's Golf-Varsity released at 10:15 AM, JV-A/B teams are out all day, Development team released at 11:00 AM

    Baseball-Varsity, JV and B teams are released at 2:00 PM & Freshman team released at 2:25 PM


    DISTRICT ANNOUNCEMENT – CALL FOR ACTORS


    Turing Tumble is seeking actors from 6th-10th grade to audition for an educational instruction video that will be used in classrooms. The video will help students understand how to use the Turing Tumble game where players build mechanical computers powered by marbles to solve logic puzzles. Auditions are 6-8 PM on Wednesday (5/22) at the Shoreview Community Center. If your student plans to attend, contact anna@turingtumble.com or 651-226-5498 in advance. Actors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the game by visiting www.turingtumble.com


    SENIOR CLASS IMPORTATION INFORMATION


    Senior Sunset is this Saturday (5/25) at 7:30 PM on the Mounds View football field. This will be a great way to wrap up our time at Mounds View and be together as a grade for one last time. There will be a frozen yogurt truck, yard games, and other fun activities. Bring blankets and money for frozen yogurt. 

    The senior breakfast takes place at Bethel University on June 3 at 9:45 AM. Breakfast ticket order forms (green) were included in the graduation packet mailed in April or can be found on the high school website. Tickets are on sale this week. Cost is $10.00.

    Settle any negative lunch account balances. Lunch balances are available on ParentVuePay Pams or see Sheri in the cafeteria.

    Seniors must complete/settle ALL items on this list prior to cap & gown distribution on May 29.

    • Lockers – Clean out locker to avoid fines for missing locks, cleaning, damage, etc. See the Student Handbook (page 16) for detailed information.
    • Library books and materials – Settle all outstanding library obligations.
    • Parking Lot Fines – Settle any outstanding fines.
    • Senior Survey – Complete the survey in Naviance. Contact the dean or Mrs. Van Bruggen for Naviance account assistance. Colleges and universities designated in the survey will have final transcripts sent to them by June 14. There is no cost for these transcripts.

    On Monday (6/3) at 10:45 AM buses will be at Bethel University to take you and your classmates back to Turtle Lake, Island Lake or Valentine Hills for a celebratory clap out in your honor. Buses will return to Bethel University around 12:15 PM.  Complete the form below ASAP so that we can arrange transportation. You do not have to attend the senior breakfast to participate.  ***SENIORS SHOULD WEAR THEIR CAP & GOWN FOR THE CLAP OUT***

    BOYS GOLF:   Good luck to boy’s golf today at the Dellwood Invitational!  On Tuesday (5/21) they travel to Indian Hills and on Wednesday (5/22) they go to the Orono Invitational.

    BASEBALL:  Good luck to baseball today vs. Stillwater!  They play at Stillwater at 4:30 PM.

    ORCHESTRA:  On Tuesday (5/21) at 7:00 PM the Varsity, Philharmonic, and Concert Orchestras Concert perform at the Mounds View High School Auditorium.  On Tuesday (5/28) at 7:00 PM is the Rock Orchestra Concert at the Mounds View High School Auditorium.

    REFLECT DAY BASKETBALL:  Are you interested in playing basketball during ReFLECT on Wednesday? We are having a 3v3 tournament in the main gym during ReFLECT this week.     ACADEMIC AWARDS:  If you received an academic certificate for the first time, see Mrs. van Bruggen in the Paddock by Thursday (5/23) to pick up your chenille letter.
