Fall learning model survey results

    We recently invited parents to provide feedback on the learning model(s) they participated in this fall/winter. The parent survey was sent to parents December 14 and closed December 18, 2020. Data was compiled from 3,446 respondents. Here’s what we learned from those who participated in the survey. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see results for each school. 

    Most families are satisfied that Mounds View Public Schools is doing its best to serve all students and families.
    Of the 3,446 families that responded:

    • 57% were very satisfied
    • 29% were somewhat satisfied
    • 8% were somewhat dissatisfied
    • 6% were very dissatisfied

    Responses from families who participated in distance learning 

    Most Mounds View Public Schools families are satisfied with distance learning.  

    • 44% Very satisfied
    • 43% Somewhat satisfied
    • 8% Somewhat dissatisfied
    • 5% Very dissatisfied                                   

    Responses from families who participated in distance learning and blended learning

    Most Mounds View Public Schools families are satisfied with distance learning.  

    • 21% Very satisfied
    • 46% Somewhat satisfied
    • 17% Somewhat dissatisfied
    • 16% Very dissatisfied 

     Feedback from families who participated in blended learning this fall

    • 83% of Mounds View Public Schools families were satisfied with the blended learning model. 
    • 85% of the families thought Mounds View Public Schools had the right amount of safety measures to keep students and staff healthy.
    • 94% of the Mounds View Public Schools families thought the safety measures were easy for their child to follow. 

    Respondents by level:

    • 10% Kindergarten
    • 41% Elementary (grades 1-5)
    • 23% Middle school (grades 6-8)
    • 26% High school (grades 9-12)

    Respondents by learning plan*:

    • 70% families who participated distance learning and blended learning
    • 30% families who participated in distance learning only

    *Responses match the choice of the learning model families had chosen at the time of the survey.
