Mounds View Public Schools is dedicated to ensuring that services are accessible to people of all abilities. We believe that every person has the right to access our online content with dignity, equality and independence.
Accessibility on our website
The District uses several programs that make the website easier to use and more accessible for people with all abilities, ages and language differences. The following programs allow us to improve compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
Accessibility widget on all pages
An accessibility widget is available on all school websites and pages that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the left side of the page. After activating the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety. This widget allows users to change text size, font, contrast, activate screen reading and more.
Accessible PDF reader
Most PDFs on our website feature an accessible PDF reader. This program allows users to engage with PDFs in various formats, such as electronic braille or as an audio file.
Special education services
Mounds View Public Schools has a continuum of special education services. Each student's needs, goals, services and placement are determined by a team, including the parents, to develop an individualized educational program (IEP) plan. Learn more by visiting the special education webpage.
We do not currently use translation services for our website. We have heard from District families that currently available translation services typically do not offer accurate or helpful translations for our families who need it. The District employs three cultural liaisons to work with families who may need translation assistance in the following languages:
