Dr. Tim Berndt
Greetings!
My name is Dr. Tim Berndt (like 'parent' but with a 'B') and I'm excited about joining the Mounds View High School community!
The 2023-2024 school year will be my 20th year as an educator. Originally from Waseca, Minnesota (Go Bluejays!), I attended the University of Minnesota where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Technology Education. After graduation, my wife and I moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia, where we both taught for four years before moving back home with our infant daughter. Since then, I've taught Technology Education in the Anoka-Hennepin, Robbinsdale, and Edina school districts. During that time, I also earned a Master of Education from St. Mary's University. Most recently, I came from Edina Schools, where I served in a variety of roles that range from middle and high school STEM teacher, Instructional Technology Specialist, and most recently, the Dean of Students at Valley View Middle School. Also during that time, I earned an Education Specialist and a Doctorate in Education from the University of St. Thomas.
My wife and I live in St. Anthony and we have two daughters (11th and 5th grade) and a foster son that plays soccer at a community college in Iowa. We enjoy cheering on all Minnesota sports teams and our son has turned us into Manchester City, Liverpool, and PSG supporters.
