Welcome to Edgewood Middle School, a STEAM magnet program in the Mounds
View School District and member of the Northwest Integration Collaborative School
District. As principal, it is a pleasure to serve over 550 students in grades 6-8 who
attend our school every year. Our purpose is to prepare students for post-secondary
education by making sure they attain the skills necessary to meet or exceed the grade
level Minnesota state standards and continue their educational journey through high
school and beyond. We want all students to leave the Mounds View School District
equipped to begin their post-secondary educational experience.
Edgewood is located in the city of Mounds View and is one of three middle
schools in the Mounds View School District. Our elementary feeder schools are
Sunnyside and Pinewood Elementary Schools. As students complete fifth grade, they
transition to Edgewood Middle School to continue their K-12 educational experience
in preparation for post-secondary learning. Families within the Northwest Integration
Collaborative School District are welcome to apply for our STEAM magnet program as
well as other families from metro school districts on an open enrollment basis.
The Mounds View School District values strong, academic program opportunities
in the core and allied arts subject areas, and strives to maintain optimal class sizes.
Edgewood Middle School employs a highly qualified team of teachers and support staff
that is committed to helping every student achieve academic success. Teachers work
collaboratively to implement quality instructional strategies and frequent assessments
to measure student growth. We believe in the importance of knowing every Edgewood
student personally and promoting respectful, supportive relationships between students
and staff. Students must know they have caring, trusted adults at home and school to
advocate for them as individuals in support of their educational goals.
Edgewood Middle School is a safe, supportive and academically challenging
place for students. Please call the main office at 651-621-6600 with questions
regarding your student’s experience or to inquire about enrollment in the STEAM magnet
