    Reporting an Absence:

    1. Parent/Guardian is to call the Attendance Office before 9 a.m. each day the student is absent.  You may call the attendance line 24 hours per day.
    2. If no contact has been made with the Attendance Office prior to student's return to school, the parent/guardian must send a signed note to school with the student's name, grade and date(s) and reason(s) for the absence.  The note must be turned in to the Attendance Office before school starts.  Failure to bring in a note may result in an unexcused absence.
    3. We also ask parents/guardians to call the school Health Office to report any influenza like illness that include a fever of greater than 100 degrees, a cough or sore throat and/or body aches or chills.  The Health Office will work with families to help them make the best decision on returning students to schools.  Confidentiality will be kept for all families reporting illnesses.

Irondale High School is invested in each student's success.  One way to maximize better success for students is to attend class every day on time.  Attendances and school performance go hand in hand.  We would like to work together to support your student.  Please use SchoolView to monitor your student's attendance.
